Making a tassel charm with the Hanging Car Charm with Tassels Generator

Difficulty: easy. Time: 15 minutes. Methods: laser cutting or 3D printing.

This charm is a layered keepsake: a filigree tree welded into a ring, an optional solid backer behind it, and a personalized name across the middle that touches the border so it cuts as one piece.

A hole at the top takes the mirror cord and a row of holes along the bottom is ready for tassels.

What You'll Need

Step 1 - Tree and size

Pick a tree from the shape previews and set the disc diameter and ring width. Design Scale fine-tunes how much the tree fills the circle; branches always weld to the ring and never stick out past it.

Step 2 - Backer, name, and tassels

Turn on the Backer for a solid disc behind the tree, add a Center Name (connected or disconnected) that welds into its own frame, then set how many tassel holes to punch along the bottom. Every layer shares the same holes so they line up.

Choose Your Build Method

Cut, stack, and tassel

Download the SVG: each layer (backer, tree, name) is its own colour. Cut each from a contrasting sheet, stack and glue them, thread the cord through the top hole, and tie tassels through the bottom holes.

Make It Yours

  • Name charms for the whole family, one per car
  • Swap the tree for a different style to match the season
  • Match tassel colour to the acrylic for a coordinated look
