Map DesignerPro
Design custom map artwork with full control over layers, features, and styling, then export laser-ready SVG plus STL and 3MF for 3D printing. Start free with the Classic Layered City Map preset you can customize and export. Upgrade to Map Designer Pro to design any location from scratch, save unlimited map projects, use every premium preset, add lake bathymetry and elevation topography, and export with no layer limits.
This release adds a library of 30+ ready-made presets (figure-ground city plans, topography, lake depth charts, transit and rail maps, race tracks, blueprint, parchment, neon night, glacier, farmland, cemetery, campus, beach town, wine country, and more), GPS route maps that load your own GPX file as a styled line, a speed-gradient route colour mode that paints the line from your recorded pace data, and true 3D building heights that extrude every building footprint to its real-world height for printable miniature city skylines.
Route Map Generator
Turn a recorded run, ride, or hike into wall art. Add a Route layer and upload your GPX file (export it from Strava, Garmin Connect, Komoot, or AllTrails) and the Map Designer draws your track as a bold line over a muted street map. Restyle the line colour and width, or switch on the speed-gradient colour mode to paint your pace along the route. Export PNG, laser-ready SVG, or STL/3MF.
3D Skyline Map Generator
Print a miniature city skyline where every building rises to its real-world height. Switch on 3D building heights and each footprint extrudes to the height recorded in the map data, so towers tower and rowhouses stay low, all on a single printable plate. Exports a two-colour 3MF (plate plus skyline) or STL, with the flat figure-ground artwork available for UV print. Available with Map Designer Pro.
City Map Generator
Jump into the Map Designer with a clean city-map preset of water, major roads, and minor streets, then customize and export laser-ready layers. Free to customize and export.
Topography Map Generator
Jump into the Map Designer with stacked elevation contours over water, ideal for laser-cut topographic mountain maps. Available with Map Designer Pro.
Handmade Tag Generator
Free leather and leatherette handmade tag generator for laser cutting. Make beanie, hat, clothing, and bag tags in Regular or Foldable styles. Choose a shape (rounded rectangle, capsule, stadium, oval, or octagon), place evenly spaced stitching holes, add a symbol with custom top and bottom text in your own fonts, and download ready-to-cut SVG files.

Step-by-step project guides
Every tool and every Map Designer preset now has its own step-by-step maker guide: what to buy, how to tune the design, what to export, and how to build the finished piece. Project guides include method tabs so you can follow the same design through laser cutting, 3D printing, UV printing, sublimation, or vinyl, with material and shop links throughout.

Improvements

Added Batch mode to the Keychain Generator, Christmas Ornament, Connected Text, Single Line Text, and Curved Text. Switch to Batch, paste a list of names or upload a .txt file, and export the whole set in one download. Multi-layer SVG exports group each layer onto its own sheet (for example all keychain backplates together and all names together) for efficient cutting, single-layer tools tile every design onto one sheet, and STL/3MF exports bundle one model per item.
Added real surveyed lake bathymetry. Bathymetry layers now offer a data source choice: Simplified, a modeled depth approximation available for nearly all lakes, or Advanced, real charted depth surveys from public agencies covering thousands of lakes worldwide, so depth maps show the true basin shape, islands, and underwater features.
Added ocean bathymetry. Coastal designs can now show real seafloor depth contours offshore, so you can make depth charts and shoreline art for oceans, seas, bays, and gulfs, not just inland lakes.
Introduced Map Designer Pro membership (monthly or annual) with secure checkout, saved map projects, and an expanded place search.
Added 30+ Map Designer presets across cities, terrain, water, transit, routes, and decorative styles, each with a preview thumbnail in the preset picker.
Added GPX route layers: upload a recorded route and draw it as a styled line, with an optional speed-gradient colour mode driven by your pace data.
