About

This free game tile designer builds interlocking tiles with twist-lock joints. Each tile still comes to a point at every corner, but the two edges meeting there are twisted by a few degrees, which turns one side of each corner into a tab and the other into a matching notch. Because every tile is twisted the same way, any tile locks to any other tile of the same shape and edge length.

The joint idea comes from Heath Dutton's MIT-licensed Gametile Designer. This is our own implementation, rebuilt parametrically in millimetres with a live preview, sheet layout, and corner rounding for laser-cut plywood. Use it for modular dungeon maps, hex terrain, coasters that clip together, and puzzle-style wall tiles.
