3D Print Design

The STL and 3MF are ready to print: the box and the lid each come out as one solid piece, with the lid upside down so it needs no supports. The handle is a small extra part that pushes into the lid.

3MF preserves richer print metadata when your slicer supports it.

About

This free slip lid box generator lays out a finger-jointed box and a matching lid that slips down over its walls, the same construction as a shop gift box. The lid is sized from your sheet thickness plus a clearance you control, so it lifts off smoothly and stays put when the box is carried. Add a standing handle or a finger hole to the lid and use it for keepsake boxes, jewellery boxes, gift packaging and storage where hinges would be overkill.
